Posted Date: 11/18/23 (12:31 PM)

White Oak Primary celebrates our staff and students of the month for October and November. Read about these awesome individuals below:

Kazia Wren (2nd grade teacher) is our October teacher of the month! Mrs. Wren's classroom management is outstanding. She is detailed, consistent, and efficient. Mrs. Wren works hard for her students. She always ask questions and seeks to learn anything she can on how to better help her students. She goes above and beyond for all of her students by not only teaching them what they need to know academically, but also how to be kind and a good friend.

Miguel Torres-Castillo (1st grade student) is our October student of the month! Miguel is one of the most respectful and kind hearted students in the classroom. He is always first to follow the directions and lend a helping hand to any of his classmates. Miguel has the biggest smile on his face at all times. He truly lights up the room and encourages everyone who is in the room!

Blenda Aguilar (White Oak Elementary Cafeteria Manager) is our November staff of the month! Mrs. Aguilar goes above and beyond for ALL of our students. She works tirelessly and with a great attitude to serve the kids and teachers every single day. She wants everyone to have a good experience and goes above and beyond to ensure that. She brings in fun while preparing and serving breakfast and lunch! She decorates for each holiday and hands out items like pencils and rings to bring joy to our students. She and her staff recently cut out hundreds of jack-o-lantern faces on tortillas and often write encouraging messages on bananas. You can see how much the kids love her by the excitement our students show when she walks into a room. Mrs. Blenda is a great asset to WOISD and deserves to be recognized for the extra work she does everyday :)

Our November student of the month is Callie Hart (2nd grade student). Callie is an A honor roll student with a dynamite work ethic and even greater heart. She demonstrates kindness, gratitude, and self control in the classroom and everywhere she goes at the Primary. She is a wonderful role model for her peers. Callis is a member of the UIL Creative Writing Team and enjoys being a leader on her select softball team. We are very proud of Callie's dedication to her school work and her compassion towards everyone.
